When it comes to period, discharge and incontinence underwear, the right fit is crucial. You can try on Velve's panties over your regular underwear to make sure they fit perfectly. If that's not the case, you can easily exchange or return them .

At Velve, you can choose from a variety of colors and styles - from classic to sporty to elegant designs with lace details.
Our period and incontinence underwear is available in different absorbency levels. Depending on the severity of your bleeding or bladder weakness, you will always find the right panty with us.

Are they also for teens?
Period underwear makes it easier to deal with your period and is therefore particularly suitable for teens and young menstruators. You simply put it on like your normal favorite underwear and are optimally protected during your period.
Compared to other period products, it offers many advantages:
- Pads and sanitary pads often contain carcinogenic, allergenic and environmentally harmful substances that can irritate your skin. Our panties are free of biocides and silver chloride. The inner protective layer is made of certified organic cotton, which is particularly soft and gentle on the skin and is ideal for your intimate area.
- Invasive period hygiene products like tampons can not only increase the risk of toxic shock syndrome, but are often uncomfortable and difficult to use, especially at first. Period panties support your body during natural bleeding and offer you complete security without feeling like a diaper.
To make your period as easy and uncomplicated as possible, we have developed special panties for teens . However, all femtis period panties are suitable for young menstruators. In our size guide you will find an overview of all sizes, including teen sizes.
Important facts
Do our panties container biocides?
It is particularly important to us that our panties are free from harmful substances such as biocides.
The vulva is the most sensitive and absorbent part of your body. At Velve we do not use any harmful substances that could endanger your health or the environment.
Biocides are often used in period underwear. These include:
- Silver chloride: According to the Federal Environment Ministry, biocides such as silver in clothing can trigger allergic reactions, impair the skin's natural bacterial flora and contribute to the development of resistance in pathogens.
- Zinc pyrithione: According to OEKO-TEST, this anti-mould agent is suspected of endangering fertility.
Magazines such as UTOPIA and FOCUS recommend avoiding period underwear containing silver and other biocides. The magazine Gesundheitstipp also advises against it and quotes a gynecologist who warns: "Biocides can reduce the bacteria in the skin flora and increase the risk of infections."
Biocides such as silver chloride often hide behind terms such as "bacterial inhibition" or formulations such as "bioactive silver salts", which can indicate greenwashing.
Are our panties vegan?
Our panties do not contain any materials of animal origin and are 100% vegan.
Some period underwear manufacturers use merino wool to absorb the blood. Due to breeding, merino sheep often have unnaturally high levels of wool and suffer from heat problems and diseases, even when sheared 'mulesing-free'.
That's why our briefs do not contain merino wool.
Instead of wool, at velve we use a special layer system to absorb the blood and keep it safe.
How skin-friendly is our underwear?
The accredited research institute Dermatest® – Society for Allergological Research mbH from Münster – has tested the innermost protective layer of our panties and awarded our femtis panties the Dermatest seal of “very good”.
Are these panties sustainable?
A menstruating person uses around 10,000 to 17,000 tampons, sanitary pads or panty liners over the course of their life. According to Ökotest, pads are among the waste products most commonly found on beaches. A single pack of conventional sanitary pads contains the equivalent of four plastic bags.
Disposable products are harmful to both the environment and often to your health. Did you know that pads, sanitary pads and diapers often contain carcinogenic, allergenic and environmentally harmful substances?
Our panties are free of biocides and silver chloride. They are durable and reusable, which saves you from using environmentally harmful disposable products.
Can anybody see that I'm wearing them?
Our panties are designed to fit like regular underwear. The protective area is multi-layered, but does not add bulk. They therefore do not feel like a diaper at all, but like your favorite underwear.
Do they feel wet when you wear them?
The high-quality materials in our absorbent layer system absorb liquid quickly and pass it on to the absorbent core. This means you feel dry and comfortable when you wear it.
Tip: When the layer of the panty closest to the skin starts to feel damp, it means that the inner absorbent layers have reached their absorption capacity. Then it is time to change your panty.

What is period underwear and how does it work?
Period underwear is like your favorite underwear, which also reliably absorbs and holds your period blood.
Our panties are equipped with a multi-layered protective area , and our innovative absorbent layer system absorbs the liquid quickly and passes it on to the absorbent core. There it is safely enclosed, while a breathable membrane coating prevents leakage. This means you are optimally protected during your period and can rely on a dry and comfortable feeling when wearing them.
What are the advantages of wearing period underwear?

How much blood can our period underwear absord?
Our panties are available in different absorbency levels, suitable for light to very heavy days. Choose the model that best suits your period.
Depending on the absorbency, the absorption ranges from one tampon (light = 5 ml) to 9 tampons (ultra = 60 ml).
Can I use period underwear with tampons or a menstrual cup?
You can also use period panties as additional protection in combination with tampons or menstrual cups. Thanks to the innovative absorbent layer system and the different absorbency levels, our period panties are also leak-proof on their own for up to 8 hours, even in the case of heavy bleeding.
I can't use tampons or cups, will period panties work for me?
Yes, period panties work great even if you can't or don't want to use tampons or menstrual cups. Since period panties don't require you to insert anything, they offer a particularly comfortable and safe solution during your period.
I struggle with incontinence / bladder leaks, can I wear period underwear?
Yes, our period underwear is also suitable for mild bladder weakness.
How long can I wear my period panties?
We recommend changing period underwear after 8 hours or when it starts to feel damp. The frequency of changing also depends on your individual bleeding intensity.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free for orders over 100 USD or Euro.
Can I return them?
If you want to return panties, you can do so easily via your customer account. For an exchange, you can also simply send your unworn panties back to us via your customer account and place a new order with the matching panties.
Please make sure that the panties you return to us are unworn, in perfect condition and in their original packaging.
We cannot exchange or refund panties that have been worn or are not in their original condition.
